Ok, so I'm settling into Kansas nicely and find myself in familiar territory. A position that even when your NOT new to an area, we all occasionally struggle with....no bookings. That being said, I have a business to build here and that isn't going to happen if I'm not willing to take some action. I know absolutely not one single person in my new city and I have no family here. What to do???? Well since this is the season for vendor events that's where I started. Honestly, you'd actually have to try NOT to find them right now they're so prevalent. So, my WOW was to find a couple vendor events, fall festivals, school fundraisers, anything that could help me meet people open to booking a spa class so they could experience what I already ready know. The best darn secret in direct sales right now, Sensaria! Well it wasn't hard, I found one within 10 minutes of searching my city's website, $50 for the table fee and I was off and running. It was an outdoor Fall Festival so I started working on what my tent was going to look like. I enlisted the help of my 11 year old daughter Ramelle to help me with the decor, fliers and what to place on the table. She was amazing and we had a great time planning together. So when it came time for the event, I decided it was take a child to work day! (Since I'm the boss, I didn't need to ask permission) Also, I didn't want to be alone in the tent ALL DAY and she was a great companion. Together, we offered Free Cuticle Treatments and told everyone who would listen about Sensaria. By the way, who turns down a free cuticle treatment from an adorable 11yr old? Threatening....I think not! The day ended with $400 in sales (made back my $50 investment), 4 Spa Classes on the books with more in my lead list and a possible new team member. Not to mention all the connections I made and a GREAT day spent with my middle child. Oh, did I mention I get to pay her and write it off?? Bonus!!! So, I suppose the moral of the story is, don't be afraid to get out there. If you don't know anyone, setting up a table is a great place to start. If you want help, look no further than your family. They are an amazing support group that love helping out. Here's to your success this holiday selling season! ~ Angela
